Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let you know that yes I’m still here. One week from today at 5pm I will have officially finished my first year of university! Time flies, it’s crazy! That should hopefully free up my time a little (no more readings, assignments and studying for tests). In the next couple of weeks, my blog will be getting a makeover so look out for that! My music blog is going well, i’m really excited for the things to come. I super thrilled to be attending Vans Warped Tour this year. And, because I love Spring and Summer because of all the cute outfits once can wear, I’ll start posting my fashion fiends on here.

Late Night Blogging

There are only a select few of people you will find blogging at this time of the night. This has become true of me, although part of the reason I’m blogging is because a) I have the time and b) I miss blogging on here. For the next few minutes I will temporarily be a Night Owl.

I’ve been busy, I never thought University life would get the best of me. Who am I kidding, I’m pretty sure we all knew that. Five courses in and the readings pile is just getting bigger and bigger. Come to think of it, it seems I’ve primarily been focusing on School, Youth/Music Ministry and my Music blog and neglecting THIS blog. I always make time for my Favorite shows (Sunday-Thursday). Friday and Saturday are set for doing my chores and catching one or two good movies they play on television now at days. This was supposed to be THE blog of mine, that I’d type in until my hands became sore. I promise that, in May (actually when all my exams are done) I’ll be up to my usual blog shenanigans. Because I won’t be bothered by school work, but when and if I get a job; it will be time consuming. But you know, I don’t have a doubt in my mind that everything will work out.

Yesterday was a very eventful day. I updated my music blog, as I do every morning and every night! I also completed another interview. You know, I could whole heartily say that this interview has been one of my favourites. It will definitely make my list of ‘top interviews of 2013.’ The interview I did with this musician, is probably one that a lot of people have been looking forward to. It’s 2013, you want to know what musicians have in store for you the fans. And this interview is about that. I don’t want to spoil it, but a hint I can give is the musician is Canadian. (I know that narrows the list down).

I’m off to snooze, just enjoying day 3.5 of my long weekend. Tomorrow it’s time to start studying for my Natural Science Exam! Ughh….

Hello! I know, ever since that last post all I could think of is “did I mean everything I wrote.” The answer is a simple “maybe.” When I wrote that post I had harboured those feelings for a good hour or two before I decided to write that “deep” post. I’ve concluded that they were just sharing their opinions no matter how much I disagree with them and the way in which they expressed their opinions for that matter. (Side note: I’m starting to recognize the overuse of quotations in this post, oh well.)

My week off Twitter, proved to be a blessing. I was able to focus on my music blog and get in a few interviews. I’m very excited for one of the interviews I did! It’s really killing me that I have to wait for a couple more weeks to post it. The only thing I can say about this musician is that they’re currently on tour. I know, it’s not much to work by but when I read the interview I fell in love with it. Its one of the BEST interviews I’ve done by far. I really love the fact that they took time out of their hectic schedule to go through and answer all my questions. It’s humbling! I’m also really excited for what’s coming up! There’s a lot planned for this blog, unlike in the past where I neglected it. I started it without a plan, which is really not smart of me. But I know what I want this blog to be about and I like the direction it’s heading in. I’m very excited about that!

I’ve been getting this question a lot lately, when I tell people I run a music blog. They start off with “that’s cool! Why did you decide to start a music blog?” I felt this was one way I could give back to music, because its helped me a lot throughout my life. I also wanted to give unsigned talented musicians the recognition they deserve. Sometimes it baffles me that they’re still unsigned. But I find, these unsigned musicians are the most humble and wholesome people you’ll ever meet. If you know of any great unsigned bands please let me know! I love checking out new music :D oh, and if you’re interested, an interview I did will be posted tomorrow. Write in my ‘Ask Box’ and I’ll provide you with the link!

Tomorrow’s going to be a long day. I have to study for my Law and Morality test on Monday. I can’t wait until Reading Week. February please come faster

Isn't It Too Soon For The Pain To Start Crawling

I meant to blog last week. I didn’t but I could. I typed up this really nice post and saved it through the Tumblr app. When I logged on to make final revisions and proceed to publish my post , I couldn’t find it. You could say I kind of gave up on that. Whats lost is lost, plus that was a good post. i wanted to do it justice by not butchering it in the attempted recollection and re-write process. Lets just pretend this is the first post I intended to write, okay?

Unfortunately we can’t. When I wrote that first post I was in a more positive phase you could say. I actually recounted all the good memories of 2012, including my 18th birthday and what I spent the majority of my Christmas Break doing (basically watching television everyday). You could say this was a chapter in my memoir titled “Young and Naive.” I spent the majority of the post reminiscing about the past year and what was to occur in the future. Right now what I’m facing is something I thought would not occur. Definitely not six days into 2013. There is no more ‘positive, calm, or delighted’ me. All there is, is me in a pool of tears. (Hence the exaggeration, but there is sadness, anger and tears).

It’s honestly amazing how, turning your frown upside down can change everything to the outside world. This afternoon, tonight, today, at some point that was me. You made the situation about you. You and your friends tweeted about “it” and it made me feel so small. Would I do the same thing to you? No, because I’m not sinking to your level. Quite simply, I’m not you. You and your friends made me cry, by indirectly attacking what I do. Unlike you, I’m not going to retort to such behaviour; I’m going to be mature. Direct or indirect, this is bullying at its finest.

The least you could of done is given me a simple answer privately instead of retorting to a public outlet that everyone can see. Are you tweeting just to tweet? Are you trying to get people to support you? Which one is it? Haven’t you heard the danger of a single story? If you haven’t, maybe you should go and watch the video. Here’s the link to the video. It’s empowering, moving, inspiring and educational. A tool you could use in your life.

When your friends ~~joined you in this~~….~~When they~~ followed and continued your message, they became as weak as you. As long as people following you remain unaware of the situation, you could be talking to thin air. A little silly now, don’t you think? If this is what you call an ambush, a scare…it won’t work on me. You obviously don’t know who I am, and that’s because you wouldn’t and you never will.

To go and stomp all over someone while like this holds bad on your character. Promoting a cause or event solely for yourself does not cut the benefit. Building your group of inclusivity makes you more of an outsider than an insider. It makes you just like the outsider you made me and continue to make me feel like.

Just know, some of these scars I wear are of your accord. Yes, you’ll defend yourself and try to relinquish the blame but deep down inside you know the truth. It truly is such a shame. If I have to take time away from a social networking site because of your words, then you’ve created some damage. You’ve created damage that I won’t forget, and that I won’t write off.

I doubt you’ll read this, but just incase you do. This is for you:
I’ve seen your true colours and its disappointing. I never wanted it to be like this.

Oh and I don’t do fake. The only people I have in my life, understand ME for ME. They are real friends not decorations
